Pyrography is an ancient craft also known as poker work. People used a hot poker from the fire
to burn designs on to wood. Today the same principle applies using a heated electric drawing
tool. I first came across pyrography in the Catskill area of New York State and really enjoy
everything about it! Pyrograph commissions are welcome and will be individually quoted.
Any design or wording can be inscribed on to these sturdy pine steps. They are then
varnished for protection.
